Meet the PharmiWeb Team: Abbie Boyd
Can you provide a brief outline of your role?
As the Senior Operations Specialist, I am essentially the puzzle solver of the team, ensuring we look at all potential solutions for any issues or questions we may come across and continuously thinking outside of the box. I am responsible for account renewals, account set ups, and for ensuring any client issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
How long have you been at PharmiWeb?
I have worked for PharmiWeb for just over 6 and a half years now. In that time we have moved to a new site and introduced a multitude of new systems, as well as introducing a number of affiliate sites too, massively converting the way that we as a team work too.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I am a Beaver Scout leader so spend a lot of time planning activities, badgework and camps. I also enjoy outdoor adventures as part of this, such as Go Ape and Rock Wall climbing.
I love adventures and exploring new places. Most recently this has taken me to Mexico, but I love days or long weekends to coastal towns around the UK too!
Despite my love of adventure however, this time of year I am far more likely to be found watching films, reading in a corner, or blaring music of all genres, all of which are almost always accompanied by a giant mug of tea.
Can you share some of your standout moments at PharmiWeb?
One of the most monumental moments at PharmiWeb was the move from our clunky old system to our new job board software. This entirely changed the way we could work, and opened up so many opportunities as us for a business!
From a personal perspective, my standout moments would have to be my personal promotions. Having started at the company less than a year after leaving sixth form in an Admin Support role, to have progressed all the way to Senior Operations Specialist is an accomplishment I am very proud of, but I also look forward to what my role may grow to include in the future too!
What do you think makes us unique, both as a business and a team?
I believe it is very rare to have such a well connected group, and we are lucky to have such a fabulous team. We all get along and care about the team as well as the business, which allows us to always support each other, help out wherever we can and adapt as needed. I believe this has been vital for the company to grow and progress as it has.
How do you think PharmiWeb has changed since you joined?
Since I have joined PharmiWeb, a lot has changed in a multitude of ways. One of the key things that my role has helped change is our ability to have an entire account management strategy. As the team has grown since, we have been able to implement a number of new processes, all with the focus of ensuring clients are able to best utilise their accounts and see their return of investments.
What do you see in the future for PharmiWeb?
In the future of PharmiWeb, Id like to think we can continue to grow, reaching out to different locations with more affiliate sites, as well as delving deeper into the sectors within the pharmaceutical sectors to broaden our audience. I would also like to hope we continue to adapt to any challenges thrown our way, like the well-oiled machine that we are!
