Meet the PharmiWeb Team: Lucy Walters

Can you provide a brief outline of your role?

In my role as Senior Marketing Executive, I support PharmiWeb’s lead generation and candidate attraction activities, primarily through content creation and social media marketing. Through this, I help to connect jobseekers with some of the best job opportunities in the life sciences, whilst making recruiters and hiring managers aware of our comprehensive range of recruitment advertising solutions. As well as creating content for our website and social media channels, I also create copy for our newsletters, keep our websites up to date with the latest industry news, and form media partnerships to strengthen our industry presence.

How long have you been at PharmiWeb?

I started in February 2021, so almost 3 years. It was an exciting year to join PharmiWeb as we launched our DACH and USA affiliate sites and hit our revenue milestone of £1 million.

What do you do in your spare time?

I currently live with my partner, 40ish houseplants, and too many books to count. I love reading historical and contemporary fiction as well as psychological thrillers, with my favourite authors being Stephen King and Taylor Jenkins Reid. I also enjoy going to the theatre to see a new musical, badminton, swimming, and going for long walks in the countryside.

Can you share some of your standout moments at PharmiWeb?

Personally, being promoted twice in two years has been a big achievement. It represents just how much I’ve learnt since joining and is also testament to how much learning and development are valued at PharmiWeb. Another standout moment has been reaching the revenue milestone of £1 million in 2021. This really highlighted the value of our solutions and is an achievement that everyone on the team is proud of.

What do you think makes us unique, both as a business and a team?

As a business, something that I think makes us unique is the partnerships we have with our clients. Particularly over the past year, we’ve really amplified our focus on customer success, getting to know each and every one of our clients’ unique challenges and goals and tailoring our offering based on their individual needs. We’re always reachable by a quick call or email and work hard to make PharmiWeb work for everyone.

As a team, we’re constantly improving how we do things, and everyone’s ideas are genuinely welcomed and taken seriously. As we’re a small team, change happens fast, allowing us to stay at the forefront of what we do. Every single person on the team is invested in our success, and we all go above and beyond to contribute to this.

How do you think PharmiWeb has changed since you joined?

As mentioned, I think we have definitely stepped up our game when it comes to customer service. Launching an affiliate site in the US has also helped us to grow on a global scale, and we’ve learnt so much about the life science industry worldwide thanks to our international partnerships.

Internally, we’ve embraced new technologies such as AI to streamline our processes and make the team more organised and efficient, allowing us to invest more time into improving our services and adding value to our clients’ recruitment strategies.

What do you see in the future for PharmiWeb?

I see PharmiWeb continuing to grow on a global scale, becoming the go-to place for recruitment advertising solutions in the life science industry worldwide.
